The Outside World

T 4 cap The Outside Worldhis site is supposed to communicate what I think is important and interesting about everything around me, to the world. Everyday, the world and our community is at change, which I consider as something wonderful and important. The posts I put here, will all be characterized by my information through other media. For example newspapers, TV and radio. But if something leads to a specific epoch in my family, in my friends network or at my work – I will also use this site as host for the news. I hope users and readers will find it informative, interesting and useful. Furthermore – I will be using Daily dropcaps from Jessica Hische, I think they are cool and I like the fact, that she posts daily, with no exception.

22/2 – 2010 Jazzhouse reopens in Copenhagen

J 3 cap The Outside Worldazzicon – Niels Lan Doky, have fulfilled his dream about reopening the legendary and original jazzhouse – “Montmartre” in Copenhagen

The Jazzhouse was from 1959 till 1976 a powerful center for jazz worldwide – it was, as it is supposed to be again, situated in Store Regnegade and many well renowned  jazzmusicians today, have sought inspiration in the café/bar environment at this jazzhouse during its years back then.

Among the guests playing at that time a few can be mentioned: Dexter Gordon, Ben Webster, Kenny Drew and Stan Getz – also an era of important and competent danish jazzmusicians developed: Niels Henning Ørsted Pedersen, Alex Riel and Palle Mikkelborg…

I am really looking forward to experiencing the place, when it opens in may. Hopefully, It will be open for the public – both in economical measures and in choice of jazz!
