proud – FRAME2010

late post – was actual ment to be yesterdays post, but time sneaked past midnight. Just returned from a wonderful day where the complete set of students at Faaborgegnens Efterskole went to short-film festival – FRAME2010 – in Svendborg (on Funen)

There where approx. 300 boardingschool students gathered to watch 25 extremely beautiful short films.

The jury was three pros collected among the most dedicated film innovation- and educating people in the southern part of Denmark.

Rolf Kofoed-Nielsen – FilmFyn
Michael Woelke – Station Next
Trine Lai – Medievidenskab

There where, as mentioned before, a huge amount of completely awesome short films, and we where as lucky, to receive the jury’s special price. The team that won the price was (correct me if i am wrong or forgot someone):

Clara Q. Richards
Sara Genevey
Christine Lykke
Maria B. Frederiksen
Maria Blowers
Nanna Pil Strandberg
and – Mathias Grundtvig

Congratulations!

Joachim Rye video – Total Sweetness!

I am very proud!

Daily showcase is a video shot, directed and edited by the great Joachim Rye – Denmarks most promising graphic designer. I was treated with his visit at sydfyn – Horne for a few days ago. We went to the nearby landing and he tested his new Canon Eos 550D – I was, as we were only two, the subject of his lense. It might seem very self satisfied to post a blogpost starring one-self, but i’ll take the chance – in the name og excellent creative work by Joachim Rye.

MAKE SURE – to choose HD version (if it is not already displaying it so)  in the youtube window and make it fullscreen:

Computercooling got greasy…

At Faaborgegnens Efterskole – we strive to keep our students innovative and creative regarding everything from their everyday classes to the production of full featured movies. Anders Van Tol – one of the IT-minded students made a project where he basically rebuild an old computer in a transparent plastic container and made a cooling system with mineral oil. – The computer is host for a linux based system: Ubuntu.

The idea behind the project was born in IT/Medie @faaborgegnens (twitter) – two guys involved: Anders Van Tol and Nicklas Frydenlund.

During the complete wednesday:  14/4 – 2010 – the computer didn’t exces 24 degrees celcius. Amazing:
